You should know that it is difficult for 구글 SEO to perform its work properly if it lacks any knowledge about the web, marketing, and content. What I want to talk about marketing in particular is that many people are talking about marketing too easily, but there are “too many” people who have not read a single copy of the marketing principle and have never worked in a real company and have the title of a marketer by doing SNS or blogging a few times. That’s why I’m currently writing this. Please don’t be misled by strange knowledge.
From some point on, I realized that these pseudo-marketers often use the term SEO. The reason is very simple. It’s because we have to discover new keywords. However, the unfortunate thing is that people who don’t know about SEO properly talk about SEO.
SEO is a search engine optimization, and it’s a top exposure method in the way we used to. But when we talk about SEO, we talk about Google SEO. In the case of Naver, we rarely say SEO. Because Naver’s SERP (search result page) is too Naver’s own way. Now, Naver is more like SNS than a search engine. If I search on Instagram, I can only see Instagram posts, right? Most of Naver’s search results posts are its own services (Naver Cafe, Naver Blog). I’m just using a tool called the web, and it’s more like SNS.
So when we talk about SEO, we mostly talk about Google. This is because Google values ‘user purpose’ that shows the search results that users want. It’s not because Google is a charity or a better group than Naver. It’s just that the way you make money is different. Google gains unlimited trust from users who want to search through this user-purpose emphasis. What kind of trust? Google will show you the exact answer to the question I’m curious about. Through this, Google gets much more search volume and traffic than Naver. This allows us to provide services that benefit from large-scale data such as Google Big Query, Google As, and Google Trends.
On the other hand, Naver is completely an e-commerce company as of 2021. It’s something elementary school students can understand when they see the smart store launch a blog market after it hits the jackpot. Naver has its own logic, but it is much more company-centered and less free than Google.
1. Naver-centered: There is one thing I explained above. Google is a search engine that values ‘user purpose’. However, Naver is a company-centered service compared to that. The evidence is that our services are top exposed on the search results page.
2. The degree of freedom is low: Koreans who are used to Naver blogs are not familiar with it, but it is a big restriction that they cannot edit the web page as they please even though it is a web page. For example, you can’t put Google As on Naver blog. It’s actually a ridiculous service that has a fixed button at the bottom, a button on the navigation bar, or even a frequent quote from another website url (there are many people who ate poor quality with Coupang Partners!).
In the United States, there is a term called LPO, or landing page optimization. It refers to optimizing how to convert purchases through a one-page web page you create. I think people who do Internet marketing in Korea have rarely heard of it. I think Naver is the number one contributor that hindered this the most.
Therefore, it is absurd for pseudo-marketers who are familiar with Naver blogs to say that they are good at Google SEO by changing only the terms. As I explained at the top, there are really few marketers who have a good understanding of the web. In particular, if you want to improve your website loading speed (which affects SEO), you need to understand how your browser works or network knowledge, but even junior developers often fail to explain it properly.
